CHOC celebrates New Yolo Food Bank Facility and Partnership

(Woodland, CA) - CHOC team members were thrilled to join Yolo Food Bank for the grand opening and open house celebration of its newly constructed 42,000 square foot Food Bank in Woodland (Saturday, August 24th).

CHOC is honored to be in partnership with Yolo Food Bank through The Emergency Food Assistance Program (EFAP). Once CHOC families sign up and income qualify, YFB shops and delivers a bag of groceries to families once a week or once a month at CHOC properties Casa Del Sol, Homestead, Hotel Woodland, Walnut Terrace and Windmere. YFB also contributes free fruits and vegetables to after CHOC's after school snacks at these properties.

Hundreds gathered to watch the West Sacramento Chamber of Commerce, Davis, CA Chamber of Commerce, and Woodland Chamber of Commerce, CA jointly cut the ribbon on our 42,000 square foot warehouse, honor $2.5 million lead End Hunger Yolo campaign donor Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation, hear Sutter Health announce a $1 million investment over the next five years in the #NourishYolo initiative for programmatic capacity expansion."
